I really liked the concept of this book. Noah goes through a lot in this book. His best friend dies suddenly and horrifically, he still hasn't dealt with losing his Grandfather two years ago, and his dad is a no show in his life. Thankfully he has his mother and grandmother. I loved the relationship between Noah and his mom. It was very touching! I liked the characters, but didn't fully connect with them or the plot. I mean, we find out pretty early on who the "mystery" girl is. There's really no mystery! I kept thinking, that she was only making us think we knew, then she'd slap us with a twist. Nope never happened. That was a big a let down for me. Maddie was my favorite character. I would like to read a book from her POV. All in all, it was a good book, but I didn't feel the characters the way I would've liked. But in all fairness, I've been in a reading funk lately and can't seem to pull out of it.
