I know I'm in the minority, but I don't get all the hype. It took me around half of the book before I could really get into it. It just didn't grab me. The book had my attention the first few pages, but then it dropped. There wasn't much going on to hold my interest. I put it down several times and decided to pick it back up after talking to my sister, who also read it, and told me that it gets better. My major peeve was Brooke. I didn't connect with her. With her actions and dialogue, I would have guessed she was a young teen not eighteen. It finally got interesting around the middle of the book when she really starts getting into finding out about FSL and her and Ryan start talking. I really liked Ryan. He was a great character. I wish Brooke was just as complex as Ryan. I don't want to take anything away from the subject. The book centers around a very serious matter and I think the author handled it beautifully.
